SpringBoard4Business. We helped a business move to become a ‘virtual organisation’ with no physical office at all. The company based in West London had high office rent and overheads for their size. The plan was to move the server which stored the company data and operated the emails etc to a hosted environment and get all staff to be home or client based.
Major benefit 1: The office rent and associated overheads were reduced to zero and even taking account of some increase in IT / server hosting costs the net gain was significant.
Major benefit 2: The quality of life for all staff was greatly improved as they no longer had to commute to work.
