Server upgrades are essential for the smooth operation of your business information, the server upgrades could be for software or for the actual hardware, sometimes the software updates will be essential for any security exploits that have come to light. Our network server team is always up to date with all the latest security patches that microsoft release for their server software and our staff under syour support contract will ensure that you are fully up to date all the times.
Microsoft has recently announced that some of the server upgrades that it supplies will now not be free but we will try to come to some sort of arrangement that means any extra cost incurred to yourself will be the minimum but we are sure that you would not mind paying for this if you know that your server is in danger of becoming vulnerable and a host for bad activities for outside users.
The technical staff at Northern Star will make sure that when your server hardware is upgraded that it is done in the quickest possible manner, probably out of hours so that it causes the minimal amount of disruption to your working day. Sometimes the upgrades can take a few minutes if it is software that we are upgrading but if it is the hardware then we will need time to plan and then of course your permission to buy the required hardware on your behalf before going ahead we will then have to arrange a time that is suitable for your servers to be down so our engineers can carry out the necessary work.
